What the Health!

The “What the Health”  documentary that is an hour and a half long is now available to watch on both utube and netflix’s for no charge. I’m unsure how long it will be available for free so if you don’t have netflix’s more reason to see it ASAP. While this documentary’s  overall advice is certainly Functional Medicine (FM) based  (Which makes it honest- and good). The speakers in it for the most part are not ones you’ve seen over and over in numerous FM health conferences online.  Meaning what you will learn while watching it likely won’t be super recycled facts you’ve heard likely, a million times already.

In my opinion this documentary is A MUST SEE for everyone. Disabled or not. So please watch it at least once. And then share it with everyone you know. Encouraging them to see it as well.   Knowledge is power. And this knowledge is very powerful.

While I certainly appreciate this documentary as a whole. It has NOT made me a vegetarian and vegan. And some of you, shouldn’t become one after watching it either.    Therefore facts are facts. There are many in this documentary.

That doesn’t mean this documentary looks at all the facts covering EVERYONE’S situations.  If you have IBS, ASD, ADHD, and or SPD. Wheather you have other diagnosis’s or not. I’m especially talking directly to you here.  Notice who the advice is most needed for. Notice that I’m a health coach who recognizes my multiply unique, community as well. Who often have multiple GI challenges of certain types.

Tips/warnings

Don’t watch this while your eating.

Expect some of what you might learn could make you very angry/ sick to your stomach.

If you need to learn more. 1 ideal way of doing this. Is getting yourself the right health coach/ FM Practitioner.

This URL shows you the documentaries website which has a vimeo trailer of the film.

The Autism, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder Summit June 19-28th

Julie Matthews recently told me about this temporarily free Summit going on NOW. Trudy Scott is also a speaker in it.  Some of you might be interested in attending it. If so, sign up via the link below.

Hi Alexandrea,

If you’re a parent, clinician, or caregiver supporting a child with Autism, ADHD, or Sensory Processing Disorder, be sure to check out this Free Summit on now.

Tara Hunkin has organized it – she’s an amazing mom that’s become a professional nutritionist and champion of biomedical interventions that help children. She teaches others how to navigate the options and make the most of their efforts.

This summit is really special, in that it shares professional insight from leading practitioners together with success tools and guidance from an experienced parent.

Learn about the microbiome, mitochondrial dysfunction, cell danger response, and cerebral folate deficiency in autism and related disorders. If your child has anxiety or behavioral challenges, you’ll learn something helpful.

The Summit is up right now and I’m also a featured speaker!

And the cool thing is that you can watch past videos too.

Here are some of my favorite speakers/subjects…

  • David Perlmutter, MD: The role of the microbiome in neurological health.
  • Trudy Scott, CN: Anxiety’s Role in ASD, ADHD and SPD and how nutrient therapy can help.
  • Nancy O’Hara, MD: What you need to know about cell danger response in ASD and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Richard Frye, MD, Ph.D: Cerebral Folate Deficiency: and how it impairs neurological health
  • Elizabeth Mumper, MD: Mitochondrial Dysfunction and what it is and how to address the underlying causes.

And me…  Julie Matthews, NC: Phenol and Salicylate Sensitivities how foods impact your child’s behavior and how to fix the root cause.

The Autism, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder Summit in LIVE now!

To your health,

Julie Matthews

The Truth About Vaccines- UPDATED

If you have time sign up and watch this while it’s still free. If you can afford to buy it too. Do that as well please. https://go.thetruthaboutvaccines.com?ref=fe89c852-9ab1-408d-9407-aa106ad60735  It will only be free for about 5 more days.

Updates  to this post-

There are subtitles so no worries if your deaf or hard of hearing. They are delayed. But, they exist. Unfortunantly,  they are sometimes hiding the the speakers name/location.  Which can be annoying/distracting though.

This is a very intense series to watch. Especially for this community. Because it is SO RELEVANT to us.    But, that’s what makes it so good. You may have a hard time following it at times or may want someone who doesn’t have an auditory processing disorder/ASD to watch it with you/ additionally. So you can compare notes (Etc.) later. And help each other get the most out of it. Discussion groups about the doc series. Could also be very helpful. Especially within specific communities.  Like the ASD parent crowd/Bipolar/ASD adults to just give three examples of communities that could really benefit from this.

I also posted about this on my sensorysolutions1 blog today about this series. So, you may want to check out that post as well.   This series is THAT important.

Autism Recovery Summit 2

April 7th The Autism Recovery Summit’s 2nd online conference will take place for free. For parents, professionals, and loved ones of those with ASD, SPD, or possibly ADHD. If you have ASD keep in mind the goals of those at this Summit are to make us have the easiest life possible. In a world not often created for us. NOT to cure us of our gifts.

I didn’t see the first one and I’m not an affiliate for this one. This Summit certainly won’t be for everyone.   Adults with these conditions weather we admit it or not. Or realize it or can’t see it. Have/had most of the challenges children do with the challenges addressed in this Summit. De-toxing, food sensitivities, sensory issues, ect. To learn more about it. Check it out here. http://www.autismrecoverytelesummit.com/

Do Change, Personal update

Here’s the status of Scholarship ownership if you are curious.    First off, did you see the videos of the winning scholarship students?

All of us who created videos received a tuition discount if we didn’t earn full scholarships. A discount larger then the ones Digestive Intensive Grads alone received. I did not receive a full scholarship. I did receive a partial scholarship on top of other discounts the others received. However,  with the scholarship and discounts I still can’t afford the program this year. even on a payment plan status.

I may create 1/ more posts regarding this/ my thoughts and lessons from the scholarship entry experience on at least 1 of my blogs in the future.

But, regardless. My lack of scholarship won’t alone stop me from being a practicing Health Coach. Nor will it alone stop me from any of the following.

additional learning

possibly getting into 1/more courses in the near future

Being Less professional for my clients.

And I’ve already taken further steps after not receiving the full scholarship. To make sure all of the above stay true.

And after all. THIS is what is the most important. And luckily. Courses are among the priciest ways to fulfill all of the above. It is also a costly way to have a supportive community in the field as well.  I never said those communities aren’t worth the cost though. They also have advantages to them.

Also, I’d still appreciate comments and likes to video/ attempt if your open to that. Showing me support indicates you like what I’m up too. And I help you.   Regardless of anything or everything else.

I’ve helped you allot. So, the least you could do. Is go to the other post. read it. Watch a 60 second video shot in a room at my public library. And comment on it/like it. Yea?

Do Change-Scholarship Posts

If your curious. I also posted on my sensorysolutions1. blog  (4 posts down from the top- currently) about this video.  1 post on this topic is currently on that blog.  As well as, 1 post on  my disabilityadvocate1 blog .

Full Body Systems

Learning the Physiology and Anatomy of the Human Body is Essential to being your best health advocate.  Learning it functionally in my opinion is the best way.  Full Body Systems  (Otherwise known as FBS) teaches you that and more! Check out it’s 10 month course outline here if your interested in being your BEST self.  http://www.fullbodysystems.com/

Remember, YOU must have taken the pre-requisite course called the Intensive Digestive first. Assuming you wish to part take in this learning environment in the future.   This course is offered once per year. Starting in April.

Do Change Campaign Details

Did you know you don’t have to be applying for the scholarship to be part of the Do Change Campaign? It’s true! Check out the campaigns instructional video via this url http://www.holisticnutritionlab.com/dochange/.   After that video starts go to 30 seconds into the campaign video. Then you’ll be instructed in how to part take even if you never took the Digestive Intensive course.  The DO Change campaign video is nearly 2 minutes long.

Do Change Campaign- Scholarship Opportunity

I recently applied for a scholarship for a course called, Full Body Systems that starts next month virtually.  To apply you enter a scholarship 1 minute video contest and hope you either get the most likes on your video (Not expecting that before tonight’s deadline.) Or your chosen buy the team/ head instructor leading the course.

I want to be the Best Holistic Coach/Practitioner as possible- for anyone who hires me. Go here for the details to help me  have a chance to do exactly that! Please LIKE my video after watching it there.   https://www.facebook.com/HolisticNutritionLab/videos/797878780359160/

Once completed  (If I win!  Cross your fingers for me, okay?) I’ll get CEU credits also!  I’ve been working towards this for about 3-4 years now. If I could have afforded the pre-requisite course sooner I would be through this FBS course already if I won a scholarship seat sooner, or paid for the program myself.

Let me know in the comments below if you feel I deserve a scholarship to this awesome 10 month course!

Thanks for reading and watching the video!
